The wire isn't really that flimsy either.

So as long as you keep the controller itself running, feel free to treat the wire however you wish, since you can replace it easily. Not worth my time and not worth the money.) But this wire is removable, so you can just buy a new cord from gamestop for 7-9 bucks depending. Sadly, this meant the entire controller was doomed unless i invested in repairing the wire (hardly economical. It's hard to prevent wires bending naturally just from gravity.

:)įavorite part? My old 360 controllers which i used for PC gameplay exclusively would have the wires go bad. Which makes it a more economical device to rage on if you think about it. You could buy almost three of them for the price of one official xbone controller. This controller probably won't survive your hate inspired rage from dying in dark souls. If you're a rager, take it out on something else. Plastic isn't that cheap, but you can tell its probably not going to survive long if you smash it a few dozen times.

But I'm just used to smaller controllers so it's more of a personal thing that I enjoy. The official xbone controllers are a bit bigger I believe. Feels similar to the slim xbox 360 controllers I loved. I literally just tried them on this controller and they also fit perfectly, which means if my rubber does wear off, meh, no big deal! Just fit them over these ones and they work just as great. I used them on my old xbox 360 sticks and they worked great. No deadzone, no areas of non responsiveness, not too large and not too small (although that's preference.) Tip: If your rubber starts to peel off, (mine has not) there are rubber covers you can buy for all your controllers! I'd recommend looking into those instead of getting an all new controller. As for the analog sticks, they work perfectly. The packaging is too nice for me to assume the company cares about quality, and mine came in mint condition. If yours doesn't, send it back and order a new one. So just avoid that dream for now unless you're tech savvy. (Microsoft still can't get their wireless controllers to work well on their own pc OS. You don't want a wireless controller for your pc anyway, but for gaming on an Xbox one I can understand why you'd want a wireless controller. This review is from PDP - Wired Controller for PC, Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X - Crimson Red I think the camo one might have back buttons on it which would make it really competitive to the elite controllers. Good controller and would recommend if you're having trouble finding Microsoft Controllers or are dealing with deadzone on controllers. Plugging the cable into the controller has a really nice feature where the cable is supported by the controller so that you don't have to worry about breaking the port. Right now it's holding the shape of how it was when it was packaged. The wire it comes with is super thick and probably needs more time to loosen up. Also has features to let you diagnose the controller if something goes wrong.Ĭontroller doesn't feel cheap but doesn't weigh as much as a standard controller which may be due to the fact that there aren't any batteries. You can adjust the deadzone which is awesome, something you can't do on the elite controller.
PDP XBOX ONE CONTROLLER EXTRA BUTTON SOFTWARE
Everything the Elite 2 controller software can do the Pdp software can do as well, plus more. There's an Xbox One app and a PC app, which is loaded with features. If you double click the audio button it mutes the mic and there is a small LED to show that it's muted, which is super awesome when using a headset without a switch builtin on the line, like apple earpods. There's a small button next to the right joy stick, hold it down and then you can raise or lower the volume and you can adjust the balance between game and chat as well. The D-Pad doubles as a sound control center. Has a couple extra features built in which are super cool. Nice smooth movement and the rubber on the knobs feel good. Without headphones you can hear the spring when you press down on them. Size wise, it is very similar to the xbox one controller that came with the console when it first launched, which I think is a nice thing.ĭ-Pad is spongy, which might not be great for Tekken. Controller felt very responsive and had a nice feel. Just got the controller today and played a few games of halo and a few rounds of rocket league.
